Nach 2,5 Monaten ist es doch mal Zeit für ein kleines Resumee:Cliff ist hier nicht mehr wegzudenken. Er wächst mir jeden Tag mehr ans Herz und ich glaube es war am Montag oder Dienstag, da dachte ich, was es doch für ein Glück ist mit diesem Hund zu leben.
Sicher gibt es noch viele Momente, wo ich den Chaoten gerne an die Wand klatschen würde, aber zur Zeit überwiegt eindeutig die Zufriedenheit :-).
Er bleibt nun ganz toll alleine Zuhause, klaut sich ab und zu ein paar Lebensmittel, was ich aber eher lustig als störend finde. Wenn ich überlege, wie er gebrüllt hat am Anfang und welche Ängste ich ausstand, ihn alleine zu Hause zu lassen, hat er wirklich quantensprungmäßige Fortschritte gemacht.
Sein Gebrüll im Auto, was ja mehr als nervig war und jeglichen Trainingsversuchen tapfer trotzte, habe ich galant gelöst, indem Cliff jetzt hinten im Kofferaum neben Cosmo mitfährt und Prinzesschen Cane auf der Erbse, äh Rückbank, platziert wurde.
Neben Cosmo kann sich Cliff urplötzlich jedes Geschrei bestens verkneifen und muß auch nicht bellen, wenn er einen Hund / Katze sieht. Autofahren ist sooo entspannend geworden, ich kann wieder mit dem Handy telefonieren und die Kunden legen nicht gleich auf, wenn sie das Geschrei hören und denken, sie sind mit dem Hundeabdecker persönlich verbunden. Cane genießt ihren „Thron“ und Cosmo hat wieder was zu tun, in dem er Cliff in Schach hält. Cliff findet es auch toll neben Cosmo zu sitzen, seinem großen Idol.
Womit wir schon beim nächsten Punkt ankommen: Die Hunde untereinander verstehen sich immer besser, machen oft gemeinsame Sache, sind im Peace-Modus und Cliff kassiert nur noch ab und zu einen Anraunzer, der aber auch immer gerechtfertigt ist. Cliff und Cosmo spielen manchmal ein bißchen und Cane genießt die Rolle als einzige Hündin mit 2 Bodyguards an ihrer Seite.
Leinenführigkeit, gaaaanz schlechtes Thema :-). Nachdem ich einen eigenkreierten Pfotenschutzverband mit mega Polsterung aus Schaffell entwickelt hatte, durfte Cliff trotz Fußverletzung bald wieder frei laufen. Ich konnte mich, dank dem Verband, optimal vor dem Anleinen des Ziehmonsters drücken und er konnte wieder rennen, rennen, rennen. Somit sind wir nicht viel weiter gekommen im Leinenführigkeitstraining und er läuft zu 98,12% offline. Er hat definitiv kapiert, was ich an der Leine von ihm erwarte. Leider vergisst er es in für ihn aufregenden Situationen schnell wieder, er kann sich dann nicht beherrschen und steht wieder in der Leine wie ein Bulldozer. Wenn ich mich sehr konzentriere, klappt es auch in solchen Situationen, aber ich muß definitiv daran arbeiten, mich länger zu konzentrieren :-). Mir fehlt da momentan die Geduld und die Muße. Mein Fehler, den ich wahrscheinlich irgendwann mit ner ausgekugelten Schulter bitter büßen muß.
Clickertrainig findet er ganz toll und ist begeistert bei der Sache. Er kann liegen bleiben, wenn ich die Leine 50 Meter entfernt verstecke und wartet brav bis er geschickt wird um sie zu holen. Überhaupt freut er sich immer, wenn er was für mich holen darf. Er bringt seinen Napf, meine Hausschuhe, den Stoffaffen, den Ball und leere Klopapierrollen. In ein paar Jahren ist er bestimmt soweit wie der Bordercollie aus „Wetten, dass?!“ und kann 400 Dinge unterscheiden und bringen. Potential hat er jedenfalls.
Was ich ausgesprochen angenehm und nützlich finde, ist, dass er sich meist aufs erste Signal auf der Stelle hinplatzt und auf weitere Anweisungen wartet. Gut, wenn er am Buddeln ist, klappts noch nicht, aber wenn er 70 Meter entfernt über die Wiese cruist und ich sag „Platz“, dann liegt er. Voll die Angebernummer und ich bin seehhhrrr stolz auf den Gefleckten.
Heute hat er sich in einem vergammelten Fisch gewälzt, was ihn irgendwie auch sympatisch macht. Überriechen kann man den Cliff nun nicht mehr und er wird sicher nicht im Schlafzimmer schlafen heute Nacht.
Ich freu mich auf seine Ausbildung, möchte ihm noch ne ganze Menge beibringen und es macht wirklich Spaß mit ihm!
